Not willing to discuss the book itself, whilst I understand the usefulness of all students have access to the same content for teaching purposes, that should be done in the most cost efficient way possible. Whether that is using Openstax textbooks for teaching math over the costly printed textbooks, or by using a paperback Bible with a printed pledge of allegiance. These money making exercises are too common across schools and higher education institutes and laws need to be introduced to stop this.

> “OSDE has realized significant personnel and administrative cost savings that can be directed toward this program,” he said.
> At least 130 people have resigned or been fired since Walters took office in 2023, according to The Oklahoman.
This is the most interesting part of the article to me. The cost savings from reducing teaching staff are going directly towards religious spending. Surprised things like this are able to pass federal scrutiny.

It will be fun to see how the Supreme Court decides to rubber stamp this.
My money is on "lack of standing". Whoever sues over this will be the wrong people.
I suppose they might just do what Oklahoma wants: decide that the First Amendment doesn't actually say that they can't forcibly convert children. But I'm betting that they take the cowardly route instead.
