personal days of reflection and work make sense, but a holiday is probably inaccurate.<p>things like toyotathon, various days of awareness or visibility, and prime day are essentially nihilist holidays, where the "holy" aspect of them is replaced with some material and un-sacred interest, and "celebrating" just means promoting or selling to people who don't care. Nobody is celebrating these things and acting them out is a banal rejection of meaning.<p>I like the idea of taking days for important personal things, and there is probably a system of living well that includes these tasks, but maybe reflecting on what something "sacred" might actually mean is a better use of it.
