Maybe I’m old fashioned, but I don’t see why a payment processor needs to know anything other than the price, and maybe the merchant. I’m much less likely to use any of these other services if this is the direction they are heading.<p>I did opt out, as mentioned in the article, but I have little interest in being involved in a cat and mouse game to protect my data while simply making purchases.<p>“If you want to opt out, open the app, tap your profile picture at top right, then tap Data & Privacy.
