I dunno if you could effectively do a global political channel. In my experience, any coverage of politics needs substantial grounding in the culture of the country. As a feature segment you have to do plenty of background which a native would be well aware of.<p>There are plenty of British political podcasts that have YouTube channels attached (generally not much beyond a video of the recording).<p>Examples featuring former politicians include 'The Rest is Politics' and 'Electoral Dysfunction'.
