Hailed as a game changer by... the company providing the service.<p>>It has been described as a "game changer" by Admiral Mike Hewitt, a cybersecurity investor and a director of the US-based IronNet<p>Sounds like an interesting approach to defending against drones, but a huge amount of these things will need to be deployed to create any sort of sizable shield as they're describing in the article.<p>No doubt that is what the company is advocating for in such PR pieces!<p>The Ukrainian battlefront is scrappy and resource starved. New technologies that can realistically be scaled are closer to using off the shelf Chinese drones, strapping a grenade to it, and uploading a custom firmware that has the capability to close on the target without a data link.<p>If this was some sort of software/sensor fusion framework that could be bolted onto Ukrainian homegrown drone tech, then maybe it would have some realistic utility when it comes to countrywide adoption.
