Ask HN: What email client are you truly happy with in 2024?

Thunderbird. Also, the new Thunderbird Android app is by far the best email client I have ever used on Android.

I use Thunderbird on a Ubuntu-based distro for a handful of inboxes, including a gmail account. No complaints.

Thunderbird. It's fast, provides native UI elements, and allows for an information dense presentation of a lot of information. Works great for handling multiple email accounts viaimap.

What do you find wrong with Gmail? I have it as a shortcut on Ubuntu so it opens as a separate window, and on my phone. It seems very not broken.

i like that i can just ignore my email completely, and only open it when i want to. so i use gmail in browser.<p>i have considered using thunderbird but... i dont really email that much.<p>for work it&#x27;s outlook and outlook only. i dont like it but it works.

Thunderbird since the 1990s.<p>It works great and has been solid for decades.
