I am a little surprised the SFP is moving into the domestic market because few of us have wall-buried fibre pulls at home: It's mostly CAT-5 and CAT-6. My FTTP is delivered on fibre, but the ONT termination is where fibre ends and I get copper RJ45, from a supplier owned and managed (TR-069?) unit. It's absolutely verboten to attach to that fibre head-end AFAIK.<p>So while this is a cool board, whats the use-case? It's not a passive tap, it's not a good basis of a pipe-splitter. It's active, in the path. It feels like amazing tinker-toy in the DC space, so more work than play?
