You need a real definition of neurosis. In Freud's day it would have been "responds to psychoanalysis by exhibiting the Oedipus complex", today it might be "responds to antidepressants".<p>Myself I discovered that some of what I though was neurosis was actually a mild psychosis (even if I do well with SSRIs)<p>If Korzybski was a crackpot, Bateson was a crackpot squared. At least Korzybski's ideas are solidly in the line of cognitive-behavior therapy which would become quite mainstream.
