A lot of people think the mathematical model of curved spacetime <i>is</i> reality and not our model of reality. As a result, they believe gravity is a pseudoforce, which is an idea for which Einstein took great umbrage.<p>My point is there's a tendency to take our models <i>as</i> reality rather than <i>representations</i> of reality - and that can lead you to ignoring other possibilities for modeling.
