I was certainly happy with that, work Windows tends to be a bit of a drag, and I always end up mostly running Linux in VirtualBox or whatever.<p>But the point is, <i>I was assigned</i> a Mac laptop, not "I chose a Mac laptop". I have a Linux laptop and a Mac M2 silicon laptop. I almost exclusively use the Linux laptop, for lots of reasons. Given a real choice, I'd pick Linux. And I wouldn't look at HN on a cellphone.
