Or fire <i>pairs</i> of ice cubes simultaneously from opposite directions, smashing them together <i>below</i> the chicken in order to bathe it with steam that cooks it. Zero net momentum, at an appropriate distance you won't atomize the chicken.<p>I realize that is slightly against the spirit of the problem... But only slightly.
