And it's going to accomplish exactly nothing.<p>If there is so much as one file still being kept secret, people will insist that it's the one that confirms their version of events. And if there isn't one such file, people will assume that THE file just isn't accounted for.<p>I suppose it's possible that they'll release something that <i>does</i> affirm somebody's theory, contradicting the official one. If so, yahtzee. That would be interesting.<p>I don't know of any reason not to release these files. After half a century it seems unlikely that any secrets they're protecting are actionable. But I also don't expect it to change anything.
