Sir Humphrey would be proud.<p>The UK seems to be particularly keen on employing faddish technologies to somehow fix what are really major systematic problems. This isn&#x27;t just a Labour thing, either; Sunak was also big into this (and also, bizarrely, at one point asked the Royal Mint to produce an official NFT; it appears to have, sensibly, ignored him until he lost interest).
