Denis Villeneuve eyes a new hard sci-fi epic adaptation, 'Rendezvous with Rama'

Although this is a movie I'd like to see, it seems the story would require significant reworking to make the movie a commercial success. As I recall, the novel has no monsters, fighting, or sex.
