I know people like to bring up past grousing about things like calculators, but I think this is qualitatively different.<p>People aren't just trying to offload some rote deterministic step, but the entire solution plan. The interactive system has also been set up to do as many tricks as possible to make us want to trust it or give it the benefit of the doubt. (No, some legal disclaimer about how results may be inaccurate doesn't change things.)<p>So it's less like using a calculator of yesteryear, and more like asking a questionable penpal to do your homework for you.
