Framework Laptop 12

I&#x27;m happy to see Framework going after different laptop&#x2F;PC segments and trying to break the long cycle of terrible products&#x2F;cash-grab from all the big manufacturers in the Windows&#x2F;PC market. I hope everyone eventually has a choice to go for one of these vs. whatever crap Dell&#x2F;Acer&#x2F;HP barfs out every year.<p>I&#x27;ve given up hopes of someone making truly exceptional products for Windows&#x2F;Linux the way Macs&#x2F;MacBooks get built. Surface was supposed to get us there but Microsoft just... gave up. Framework is approaching this from a totally different angle, focusing on reliability&#x2F;upgradeability first and I do hope they eventually crack the formula to build the perfect products.

I just wish Framework Laptop 16 wasn&#x27;t as bulky. I already have a 14&quot; laptop and looking for a larger screen size because coding on 14&quot; screen is limiting, I can barely squeeze 2 code windows in a vertical split. I would also like to have a local GPU with Pytorch support which I&#x27;m not sure I can get with the available Radeon RX 7700s.

Unfortunately the biggest problem with Framework is that that don&#x27;t ship worldwide. I&#x27;ve been waiting for four years to buy their machines now and I&#x27;m getting tired of it. Normally I&#x27;d just buy a ThinkPad, but Lenovo still don&#x27;t have any of the new AMD AI 300 series APUs. :(

I can&#x27;t wait until someone creates a Raspberry Pi mainboard for this laptop!

Hoping for more details soon on mainboard compatibility between the Framework 12 and 13. If I can buy just this chassis, but move over all of my existing internals from my Framework 13, I might.

Was hoping for a 12&quot; Macbook successor with small bezels. There aren&#x27;t many good small computers out there now... Surface Go, GPD Pocket, etc?
