My impression was that one of Russia's main aims in Ukraine were precisely these minerals, oil, and gas resources in the eastern part of Ukraine. Doesn't this make the US in many ways the same as Russia?<p>Also, I'm certain this will be spun into very effective pro-Russian propaganda.
