Well, DUH, right tool for the job.<p>Raspberry Pi is when you need either GPIO or a small size. You are also paying premium for a long-term support and a lot of information on the web.<p>If you don't need all of those features, don't use them. Used NUCs are better value if you need a general desktop computer. Chinese embedded SBCs are much cheaper if you are can handle missing/wrong documentation, weird kernels and a model disappearing only after a few years.
