TSMC's pledge is worthless. You avoid tariffs today, wait for Trump to get out of office, and never build manufacturing capability in the US tomorrow. Sure, you're going to have to act like you're making progress, but you'll spend considerably less money doing that than you will have lost through the tariffs.
