Should we be moving data centers to space?

No. Space debris, radiation, power capacity, latency, maintenance, not yet worth the likely burn rate and risks. Cart before the horse. First master short distance space travel <i>maintenance</i>, shields <i>debris and radiation</i>, energy efficiency and advanced battery tech, etc ... If the data-center in space is bigger than a telco closet then the power tech to run this beast is thousands of years out <i>and would more than likely be some cold fusion reactor.</i><p>Ocean shore-face area behind a seawall could be a little more feasible however, especially for deep sea fiber hubs and oceanic packet flow WAN optimization.

This seems like &quot;solar panels on roadways&quot; thing where &quot;in space&quot; ... doesn&#x27;t solve any real serious issues.
