Hi HN, I broke my leg skiing this weekend, and in the time that I was waiting for radiologist to explain my MRI results to me, I ended up writing a simple MRI image viewer to see for myself what was going on with my knee.
https://github.com/kirillzubovsky/dicom-viewer
The fact that was given a CD with my images, but they were all in some obscure binary format and the only way to view them was on windows, did not really sit well with me.
If anyone here has MRI images they'd like to view, and you want to try this out, please do. I'd love for more people to collaborate and to make it something interesting. Hopefully thus of us who needed this in the past won't need it in the future, but if we build on top of each other's misery, it could be a game changer for someone in the future.
Let me know what you think, ideas, suggestions ...etc. I don't really open-source software usually, so if you want to guide me to make it better, I am all ears. Thanks!
