Based on my experience so far with lobste.rs, its goal is to limit aggressively who can post there. Also, it seems that a lot of posters there are more or less famous software engineers.<p>That said, I'm wondering how people get invited if you don't personally know any of the members
Imagine wanting to be part of a social club so deranged they will eject you and everybody else off the premises if the <i>person that invited you</i> uttered some wrongthink that pissed off their sociopathic moderators.<p>If you still want to join after knowing that, my suggestion is to go outside and touch grass - it isn't worth it.
