Sabine Hossenfelder: How I Became Particle Physicists' Enemy #1 [video]

It is reductive, but I feel like most of her viewpoints derive from a personal hate for the experiences she had with her graduate professor. When critized, she doesn&#x27;t defend well against that point, that she is disenguine in her critiques.<p>As some other commenters have said, her channel made more sense when her audience had been mostly domain experts.

I don&#x27;t think many working physicists pay attention to her, she&#x27;s turned herself into more of a &quot;pop sci&quot; icon. The problem I think is that she frequently strays far outside of her realm of expertise without the humility required, not unlike Neil deGrasse Tyson or Michio Kaku.<p>If you find that sort of thing entertaining then there&#x27;s no shame in it, just realize that expertise is generally narrow, non-transferable, and perishable.

Particle physicists need to concentrate on their inevitable future career shift than someone rightfully calling out their failures.

Much like the US military, they don&#x27;t like it pointed out they accomplish very little at great expense.
