During the first administration, how much money could you openly give to Trump to curry his favor? You could give to his campaign, but as he learned the hard way he couldn't spend that money on anything fun. Or you could stay at his hotels, and only really give him a few thousand dollars at a time.<p>This time around he has a stock ticker and some meme coins. It is ostensibly much easier to funnel money at him. Park your money in his assets to show reverence.<p>I am wondering how the crypto community is going to handle stuff like this. They have spent so long on independence and trying to get an air of legitimacy. The the president gets to just make his own coin the defacto one of commerce, doesn't that undermine the whole mission?
