The balance here is changing quickly with GenAI.<p>We’re already at the point where it’s trivial to set up a bot that examines PRs, reads the docs, and points out any inconsistencies or things that should be added. It’s not much more work to automate having the bot push docs to the PR, or to have it open a second PR specifically for the docs.<p>I’ve not tried to generate docs from scratch in a project with AI, but it is exceptionally good at reading, understanding, validating, and maintaining human-written docs.
