What we are doing?
Instacart is building the first ever e-commerce & logistics platform that offers customers an unimaginable level of convenience by allowing them to order from multiple local stores and have items delivered to their door step on the same day. We are currently serving San Francisco, Mountain View and Palo Alto in a specialized grocery vertical.
Here is what PG has to say about us:
"Incidentally, of all the startups we've funded, Instacart is one of the ones we ourselves use most. Jessica can't stop talking about how great it is. You don't realize how useful grocery delivery is till you have small children (like we do). And Instacart is by far the best option for this.
Instacart is one of those rare products that's surprisingly great. I.e. you don't realize how good such a thing could be till you try it. A lot of the best startups have this quality. I wish we could figure out a way to identify them when they apply to YC, but at the moment I admit we can't."
Why you should join us?
- We are growing exponentially.
- We are solving some challenging and fun logistical, search and pricing problems.
- We have a very high bar, so you will be working with some really smart people.
- We ship code hourly (at least) and have a blast working together.
- We pay really well, cover health/dental and make life convenient for you in every way we can.
- We are well funded by some of the best investors in the world.
- PERK - you get to choose your own user_id (1-9 still up for grabs)
About you:
We are looking for people who can own full stack implementation of entire features. This will involve proficiency in front end technologies (haml/sass/js), back end RoR in addition to understanding of postgres and in-memory dbs. You should have demonstrated experience in most of the above to qualify.
To apply, email your Github, LinkedIn or resume to jobs@instacart.com.
