My friend recently started a mentorship where he teaches photography skills to interested students. The kids are from public schools, and generally from a disadvantaged background, but have expressed -- and demonstrated -- real interest in photography. The teaching is done 1 to 1 in a group setting, and lasts for about a semester or a year. Meets on the weekend and is a couple hours a week. It seems like a totally great experience for everyone involved. Problem, I don't know anything about photography. Solution, I know about computer science. Does anyone know if there is something similar already established for computer science? Would anyone be interested in working on establishing something like this if there isn't?
