I'm a soon to be graduating Computer Science student who is looking to work internationally if possible. I have had a few interviews with German companies, but have had very little luck with companies based in America. I am looking for some general advice about the steps that other individuals have gone through to make this happen.
Part of the reason I seem to be having difficulties is I often do not even make it past the original screening forms. One question that often comes up is "Are you eligible/authorized to work in the United States" to which I check no because I do not currently have a work Visa. However, I feel like this line of wording can be somewhat ambiguous because I am eligible to get a work Visa, I just do not currently have one. Would it be considered dishonest to say I am eligible or does that phrasing strictly refer to already possessing a work visa.
Besides that what are some of the best resources for finding positions for Junior Developers international, I find positions here and there on various job boards, but I was wondering if there is a refined method to attaining this information. Perhaps there just aren't a lot of these types of positions, but I would like to know if there are.
